However, we are discussing an allegation where no one puts them in the same location on a unknown night in an unknown location where she didn't ever mention it to even her best friend and no one even recalls her leaving a party like the one described early. These basic details are missing which might help a little before you even get to asking for evidence like bruising that would make it more than a 36 years late "she said".

This is the whole point. No complaint = no court jurisdiction = no criminal investigation.
It's limited to a background investigation. If someone doesn't want to cooperate, they don't have to, including Ford. But if Ford's family, colleagues, or friends want to cooperate, they can.
The fact that Ford has no apparent ties to her family, there must be a reason...that's where I would go first.

During her testimony, she said she stayed with her parents some time this summer. Mitchell asked her if she discussed the letter/allegations with them and she said "Absolutely not."

So the WaPo apparently has this memo. I refuse to pay the WaPo to see it. Perhaps someone else has access. The Left is very upset about this memo -- read the comments to the above tweets.

Her "bottom line" comments are very telling. Top of page 2.

The timeline comments are very interesting. So many hints that something happened to her in the mid 80s or she started assembling it as a mid80s memory (or shall I say lie), but to make the lie work, she has to walk back to the early 80s (and has slipped up).

I agree. The D's have definitely shifted the goalposts again. They seem to be hedging their bets on the Ford accusations dying on the vine when the FBI report comes back and most likely tells us what we already know. That the accusations don't hold water in the slightest. However, temperament and partisanship don't have nearly the impact of being a sexual predator. After the drama of the past 10 days those talking points pale in comparison. This isn't over, not by a long shot, but thats a least one positive for the Republicans.

This is what i was thinking before (and still am). Her voice is the first give-away. Child like voice in a woman is oftentimes a signal. she just seems like a troubled person who is likely on multiple medications. Her shaky memory of events as recent as this summer scream that this is someone who does not have a clear head. Then there's the odd factor that her family is nowhere to be found in this circus. I just think she's latched onto some event or scenario from the mid 80s to help build this lie, and I do not mean that is the source of her trauma/problems. Or maybe she just started it as a mid80s lie and then realized that wouldnt work.

The only "gotcha" in regards to the Safeway storyline would be to look at building permits to see when the store was actually built. That could be a gotcha moment.
