Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and myself founded empires; but upon what foundation did we rest the creations of our genius? Upon force! But Jesus Christ founded His upon love; and at this hour millions of men would die for Him. - Napoleon Bonaparte

I'm guessing this man never attended a HS prom.
Wrong. He attended several just last Spring. He wasn't invited to any of them, but that's another story.

Sloppy, sweaty weirdo lawyers are a dime a dozen at the Harris County Courthouse.

What did Dunkin do? I'm sure it was absurd just wondering what I missed.

I kept hoping someone would actually post that, but noooo......

So I hit Google.

Best I can tell, Rumble tried to get them to advertise on Rumble. Dunkin said Rumble was "too polarizing" and they didn't want to advertise there.

As much as I dislike the weak CEOs giving in to the woke mob...

I don't think they were that far off base.

Assuming they also refuse to advertise on left platforms like Reddit or DU

Yeah if that's it it's a silly reason to boycott. Right now this is today's reminder that social media is a cancer.
Good news: The right has started to pile on when major corporations ignore them. The left no longer owns the market in holding companies hostage. If people want to boycott Dunkin because they would rather buy donuts from some company that WOULD advertise on Rumble, then that is their prerogative.

Bad news: cancel culture is stupid, and we need to get rid of it. Hopefully, if the right starts using it effectively with more and more companies, the whole strategy will just go away. I'm glad that comics are generally spending a good chunk of their bit making fun of cancel culture.

Boycotting is different from actively telling everyone who uses a product they are a bigot/misogynist/transpose/insert other pejorative here.

Boycotting is simply saying I choose not to endorse your views with my dollars.

Cancel culture is publicly shaming not only the company but anyone who chooses to shop there/use that product.

I am not going to knowingly spend my dollars with a company that will then turn around and use the dollars I spent there to promote orgs or politicians that actively want to throw me in prison or a re-education camp for my beliefs or use their products to further causes which I not only disagree with but I believe are antithetical to the good of society.

And no....that is not exaggeration- many LGBTQ radicals and COVIDIANS actively called for people with my beliefs to be thrown In jail.

But wouldn't the printer have spell check software? Maybe they input the graphics as an image or something but that's embarrassing no matter what the reasons behind it.

It can just a matter of if it was run again.

Now this is really bad because there aren't many words on this one.

Years ago, (I was a graphic designer over 30 years), I had been working on a 7 x 10 foot basically huge flowchart about nursing Processes. We had looked at it over and over.

Several iterations, several levels of people looking at it. It was completely full of flowchart information, text, everything. At least five of us going over and over it. And sometimes can be your death because the more you look at something you don't see things.

I ran spellcheck over and over, but it was very tedious because there were a lot of acronyms and words that weren't caught in spellcheck so I think the last time before I sent it to the printer, of all times, I forgot to run it.

Got it back from the printer, it was about a $700 print job because of the size, lamination and Velcro and stuff and it's sitting in my office sort of roll on it's end.

I'm sitting at my desk and my coworker, who had never seen it looked straight at one of the boxes and asked why did you misspell that? I thought she was joking and then I looked at it and sure enough one of the words that was misspelled … now get this was the word incompetent.

Of course, I fixed it and got it reprinted, but I was so pissed. And it made it through a lot of us, so it can happen, but that was a serious flow chart that had thousands of words on it. This is very different.

I misspelled the word "efficiency" in the title and throughout a senior lab report on - you guessed it - gas turbine engine efficiency. In my defense, this report was typed at the last minute on an actual typewriter years before I had ever heard of a word processor or spell checker. My computer was a Commodore 64. So I understand that this does happen.

But "Louisiana" was one of like 6 words on that entire display and nobody caught it? It wasn't like they were playing "find the sniper" like on your example or technology limited like on mine. There's a good chance that it was actually printed right there in NoLa as that convention center does a LOT of trade shows, conventions, etc.

And just for the record - did you ever misspell the word "Texas"?

No and there is absolutely no excuse for this especially since there's hardly any words on that particular layout. I truly don't know how this was missed. I just know over the years. I had a few goofs that you would think wouldn't happen. But that one bothered me the most.

In about 1983, when the petro-chem business was still in the depths of a severe downturn, my company hosted a client team in for a proposal, that if we won, would likely stave off more layoffs. The client team came into the conference room, picked up their copies of the proposal, looked at each other almost simultaneously, dropped the proposals and walked out. When asked why by the stunned project manager, he was shown that the client company name was misspelled on the cover sheet. Layoffs ensued.
