Ok, maybe I could have worded it better. Not so much own it as at least they're honest about it. Their ideas are terrible but they at least do what they say they are going to do. There are plenty of RINO's but no DINO's.

Fair enough, I knew what you meant.

I just don't get the acceptance from the D voters. D politicians are openly supporting financial and societal destruction in favor of feelings of the very few. That and the obvious willingness to flood the country with their voters, no matter the consequences.

I moved back here in 2006 from Houston and have lived in Bryan the last four years. I do not find this to be as much as people say but maybe in the government they are? The university is leaning that way too which is sad.

But in every day life, no I don't experience this at all.

This. The university is mostly following the rest of the world that exists in the federal government orbit but the towns are small business driven so they're quite conservative. Area elections are decided during the Republican primaries and there's not even a Democrat on the ballot for some offices. It's not at all uncommon to see a Republican running against a Libertarian in November.
