The Democrats complain they will have a brain drain as long time employees quit or don't move. Hmm.
Career bureaucrats leaving and being replaced with people who care about the Federal lands, who likely grew up there and know more about the lands than someone who lives a couple thousand miles away. Sounds to me like they will get intelligent employees who aren't entrenched in the bureaucracy that will come up with new ideas and likely outside the government box thinking in addition to saving millions of dollars. Sounds like an all around win to me. Good Trump!
Maybe they can do something with the Sam Houston National Forest. I grew up next to it and loved taking more horse and riding through maybe 1/8 of it. It was a lot of fun but very few locals and even fewer people from out of town could access it and truly understand how thick and large it was because there are few actual parks in it compared to how much land it occupy.
It is really a drag on the local economy because so much land is off the tax rolls and unable to be developed. At least build a riding park or something that could bring intourists IDK
