True story time. In the mid 90s, I was in San Fran for a three day employment law seminar. Being an art fan I went to that museum. At the time they had an extensive exhibit by the artist Richard Ryman. Being unfamiliar with his work, I looked forward to seeing it.
Little did I know that Ryman at that time only used varying shades of white on his canvasses.
Yeppers, that's what it looked like. The docent asked me if I wanted to pay ten dollars for guided tour. I was laughing so hard and loudly, I got kicked out of the museum.
