The news is sure to disappoint some of President Trump's most ardent supporters who believe Brennan and other top officials in the Obama administration sought to sabotage Trump's candidacy in 2016 and later his presidency.S
"Sure to disappoint"? How 'bout sure to disappoint anyone who believes in the law, not overthrowing governments, etc.

I realize this could be a head fake, and I'm desperately hoping that's the case. I made my mind up on Brennan long ago. He's a horrible individual--personally and professionally.

Exactly. That is what the FBI tells every single person they interview unless they are already a target of a grand jury.

Amazing how much spin NPR and others can dish out. Big difference between a "subject" and "target." Brennan is most certainly a "subject" and could easily become a "target" after his interview. We've always known the "big fish" would be the last people interviewed.

From the DOJ Justice Manual - Section 9-11.151
Quote:

9-11.151 - ADVICE OF "RIGHTS" OF GRAND JURY WITNESSES

It is the policy of the Department of Justice to advise a grand jury witness of his or her rights if such witness is a "target" or "subject" of a grand jury investigation.

A "target" is a person as to whom the prosecutor or the grand jury has substantial evidence linking him or her to the commission of a crime and who, in the judgment of the prosecutor, is a putative defendant. An officer or employee of an organization which is a target is not automatically considered a target even if such officer's or employee's conduct contributed to the commission of the crime by the target organization. The same lack of automatic target status holds true for organizations which employ, or employed, an officer or employee who is a target.

A "subject" of an investigation is a person whose conduct is within the scope of the grand jury's investigation.

Yeah. When he gets arrested, he wants the media to call it a process crime so they can minimize it. Not a big deal for Papa, Flynn, Stone, etc. so it shouldn't be a big deal for Brennan.

Quote:

.....After years of suggesting that text messages are not subject to FOIA, the FBI told the court in a recent filing that it has located 150 text messages and 5,696 emails but will not have a schedule to release the records until August 28, 2020.

Judicial Watch filed the suit in 2017 in support of Danik's October 25, 2016, and February 28, 2017, FOIA requests for records about McCabe's "conflicts of interest" regarding his wife's (Dr. Jill McCabe's) political campaign and Hillary Clinton. Specifically, the two FOIA requests are for:

Text messages and emails of McCabe containing "Dr. Jill McCabe," "Jill," "Common Good VA," "Terry McAuliffe," "Clinton," "Virginia Democratic Party," "Democrat," "Conflict," "Senate," "Virginia Senate," "Until I return," "Paris," "France," "Campaign," "Run," "Political," "Wife," "Donation," "OGC," Email," or "New York Times.".....

Might prove interesting with respect to demonstrating political bias, not to mention providing cover for Hillary.

As you can see from the document, Maria is showing the first page of a newly declassified, partially redacted document, the declassification dated August 7, 2020. It concerns a briefing by someone in the FBI to the Senate Intel Committee on February 14, 2018...it's about Steele & his Primary Sub-source. No link to the document yet. Her show begins at 9am CST today.

Well, it was Lindsay Graham who obtained the above new document. Someone from the FBI briefed the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) in February 2018 about Steele's Primary Sub-source (PSS) & stated: The PSS said that Steele did not fabricate his dossier, & what he told Steele was accurately reported. Someone lied major league to the SSCI! Criminal. This was during Wray's tenure. Graham doesn't know the name of the individual (redacted) but he is writing a letter to Wray to find out...Graham thinks it had to be someone associated with Crossfire Hurricane. Hopefully the document will be posted soon.

Not sure Graham knows who it was yet. He's going to Wray to find out who it was.

But on another note, watching Maria's show just now she on a guy Schrage who was doctoral student under Halper. He has Halper on tape on January 10, 2017 (before the David Ignatius story broke) saying that he (Halper) didn't expect Flynn to be around the Trump White House for very long. Halper also frequently commented on his friendship with Ignatius.

Shrage was the person who introduced Carter Page to Halper. Shrage has already met with Durham.

There's an interesting coincidence in the background. David Laufman, the DOJ's Chief of Counterintelligence Dept., who arranged for the January 2017 initial interview with Steele's Primary Sub-source (Danchenko) & who was present at the interview, resigned in early February 2018. Methinks he knew the gig was up.

I expect Shrage is going to be vilified by the MSM over the next few days, if not, completely ignored. His comment that involvement by republicans may be resulting in an investigation that keeps working around the edges without getting to the heart of the malfeasance has the potential to be explosive.

Schrage also said he was shocked Halper (and those in his orbit) weren't interviewed by Durham ... and this was a big reason Schrage decided to go public.

To be fair he's probably one of the most articulate voices against Russiagate and he's no fan of the deep state. I'd go so far as to say he's only not calling things by the terminology of the right in order to keep his gigs alive at rolling stone and other places.

I've found that if there is a voice from the left anyone might listen to Taibbi, Arron mate, and Glenn greenwald are all over this story.

I'm having this vision of a room. In the center is a desk and two large tables covered with books, magazines, a desk top computer and two laptops. The magazines and one laptop are semi buried in cold pizza and half full coffee cups.

There are no windows and three walls are covered with organizational charts, photographs with notes, most connected in different directions with colored yarn. Newspaper clippings cover the fourth wall where there is also just a hint of the door through which I entered. There's a disheveled individual, badly in need of a haircut, sleeping noisily on the leather couch. There's name on a briefcase in the corner. It's faded and difficult to read. I think it says "drcrinium". I'm not sure...
Not when I'm done with it.
