FWIW, I heard, and read, the same thing about NYPD at least 20 times. I've NEVER seen it confirmed by anyone. I hope that's the case, but since politics ran over the department, and then backed up, I suspect if it did happen, any and all evidence has long since disappeared.

The US Attorney general, probably every member of both DOJ offices in NY, the mayor, and the governor, wanted that information destroyed. IMO, it was always wishful thinking.

Seems the CIA has not been response to requests by Grassley & Johnson for records pertaining to Crossfire Hurricane.

That is not what Grassley and Johnson's letter says. Those committees requested records implicating CIA from other intel agencies, and those agencies have been non-responsive. This is cover for Haspel to spill the beans, if so inclined.

I still want to know the intelligence that spooked Comey into "reopening" the Hillary investigation close to the election. Amazing that the media can dig deep and find out classified info when it wants but still so many aspects of all of this remains unknown because media does not want to expose it.
It's my understanding that when the NYPD came into possession of Anthony Weiner's laptop that they threatened to go public and that's what forced Comey's hand.

True??

My understanding is that by reopening the investigation, the FBI could gain control of the laptop.

They did get the laptop, and searched through 3,000 of around 675,000 emails in one business day before Comey exonerated her. See this link/summary with sydney's recorded piece discussing it.

There is still classified Russian intelligence that is supposed to be the primary reason for why Comey decided to reopen the investigation. The WSJ has written about it several times over the years in their opinion pages.

I don't like this. It's an easy prediction.

1. They have to get started or risk Biden burying it
2. They are unlikely to indict within 60 days of election.

Therefore it has to be this month, or it won't happen at all. Housley, by saying he stuck his neck out, tells me he isn't sure of that prediction, as in, no one told him, and he is analyzing the situation and making an educated guess.

I also think all of this is tied to Biden's VP announcement. It's a game of chicken. As I've said for the last six months. Q's current mission is to keep Michelle off the ticket by insinuating big trouble for the former Oval Office of Obama.

How long can the Biden camp hold out?

This is one of the reasons for continuing the lockdown at all costs for team CCP-Biden. They can't allow the courts to function normally, and the lockdown precludes that. That the DoJ is absolutely corrupt helps, of course.

You would think that the people should be informed through indictments if the previous administration, who the current Dem candidate was a part of, was engaged in nefarious dealings.

Absolute crap about the 60 day rule. So freaking stupid. If you can indict, them do it. Quit politicizing the justice department and do what is right.

Yep. NOT indicting because it is too close to the election could be every bit as political as indicting too close to the election.

I know y'all will agree with this statement, but perhaps it wouldn't be so incredibly damned close to the 2020 election if every single one of those *******s in the deep state and alphabet agencies, that belong to the corrupt Democratic party didn't obstruct, hide, and destroy every piece of evidence the House, Senate, Barr, and Durham have asked for.

Talk about triggered, I would immediately be so if any Dem brought up the "advantageous timing" of indictments.

https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/statement-assistant-attorney-general-national-security-john-c-demers-public-release

Quote:

"The Department of Justice has completed its review of the 29 FISA applications that were the subject of preliminary findings by the DOJ Inspector General (OIG) in March 2020. We are pleased that our review of these applications concluded that all contained sufficient basis for probable cause and uncovered only two material errors, neither of which invalidated the authorizations granted by the FISA Court. These findings, together with the more than 40 corrective actions undertaken by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Division, should instill confidence in the FBI's use of FISA authorities......

But somehow, Cater Page's FISA application contained 17 significant errors or omissions.

Granted, I didn't read the entire DOJ doc from Demers, but I don't understand how an IG can be so detailed, and then have the investigation wipe the report nearly clean.

I could understand objecting to the some of the findings of the OIG, but that sounded like the IG report was borderline careless in it's findings.

So the Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers allowed the FBI after the fact to locate missing Woods files that should have been included in the FISA applications.

Color me skeptical. But I am not a lawyer so could be misinterpreting.

I think you're being kind, but paraphrasing you, it's possible rules and regulations apply to this situation, for which I'd sadly be educated.

Barr doesn't make public comments terribly often, but I do wish he'd clarify this report. I suspect Demers had other motives, because it sounds like it's "just okey dokey" for the FBI to willingly (even though they'll say oversight) sidestep the rules put in place in order to be clear, concise, and justified.

So hell yes I'm skeptical, I'd like to know a hell of a lot more about Demers.

Shipwreck thinks Durham is busy with indictments, that's why he had to call in the other US Attorneys. If he was just writing a report, the other attorneys would not have been needed. I tend to think that is somewhat accurate

"If the result of Durham's investigation was to be no indictments and only a report, nothing would have prevented AG Barr from using US Attorney Durham to pursue these other angles. He did not."

kind of a tangent but it does involve misconduct by a judge. The Massachusetts state judge that helped the illegal evade ICE is still on the hook. The defense for the state judge is claiming judicial immunity, but it sounds like the federal judge has said not so fast, and wants to explore the limits of judicial immuiity.

A federal judge last week declined to dismiss charges against Massachusetts District Court Judge Shelley M. Richmond Joseph and now-retired Massachusetts trial court officer Wesley MacGregor.

NO AMNESTY!

in order for democrats, liberals, progressives et al to continue their illogical belief systems they have to pretend not to know a lot of things; by pretending "not to know" there is no guilt, no actual connection to conscience. Denial of truth allows easier trespass.

I'd forgotten about her, and assumed that would be somewhat of a slam dunk to convict.

If she's exonerated based on the immunity defense, I'll be seriously pissed. For you legals here, wouldn't that set an incredibly bad precedent for all judges? IMO, the judge could willingly break the law any time, any where, claim immunity, and go on about their business. Dems would be great using that.

Did anyone here note this thread yesterday?

Quote:

Most people who are not in the securities industry would NOT understand how this works. But Trump certainly does and Mnuchin definitely does. Bannon for sure understands this.
If you are a big trader like Soros, Gates, Goldman Sachs, or a major bank having inside information is a freebie no risk goldmine.
If you are a greedy political family like Pelosi, Clinton, Bushes, Feinstein, Burr, McCain, Obama; Biden Family inside information is a freebie no risk goldmine for the entire family.
I guess if you are John Brennan or a foreign intelligence service, and you want to finance a nefarious off the books black op operation FOR FREE, outside of your normal budget, you can use inside information and stock trades to finance your operations.

What kind of inside information can be freely gleened from the NSA database? Correspondence between PUBLIC COMPANY CEO's who are looking to do a merger, acquisition or spinoff of another public company; confidential audits of a company that may be in discussions to be acquired by a public company; confidential emails, phonecalls, texts between CEO's, their accountants, their lawyers, their bankers, their competitors; their R & D department; their patent department.
Once the secret NSA information is obtained, stock trades are placed (by the ELITES and their families/cohorts) to capitalize and monetize the information. On any stock exchange anywhere in the world.
It would be great to have a securities lawyer or an outstanding journalist who is familiar with insider securities trading write an ariticle on this topic. So far, I have not seen anything. Everyone is too focused on the big distractions: russia, impeachment, racism, covid, election.
But my instincts tell me this is a BIG DEAL COVER UP. per Hillary, "If revealed, they will all hang." They's why the elites want Trump out so badly. This is about money & theft on a GRAND GLOBAL SCALE.
Hillary has been known to be involved with insider trading back in the 1980's with her cattle futures transactions. Since there was no accountability for that, what would have stopped her in 2012-2016?
McCain was involved in that Savings and Loan debacle back in the day. Charles Keating case. No accountability for him either.
Most people don't really understand the machinations of trading on insider information, and how easily it can enrich your friends and family. Certain information that can be monetized can buy favors and buy off corrupt politicians. I doubt that Judge Rosemary Collyer or Judge Boasberg understand the gravity of this.
Hope the DOJ is looking into this as it relates to the Rosemary Collyer report and the 85% illegal searches.
Futures and options trading experts might want to opine how this could be executed without even buying the stocks directly, or detected as highly unusual activity. Of course, even if the SEC caught it, would they do anything under Obama/Biden? Pffft...

For someone like me who thinks Yates may not have participated, but was a willing accomplice, the Solomon article was the perfect set up for her to spill her own beans of innocence. Fortunately, I trust Solomon's journo instincts, and assume he was doing his job, not an expose on Yates.

But if I was Yates, that's exactly how I would proceed. I will be interested in her answer about the January 5th meeting in the WH.
