Watching TV this morning it appears the week of May 15 will go down as the beginning of an accelerated end to the Trump administration. It may continue to limp along, but his agenda is dead in the water and Republicans are in hiding wanting nothing to do with an increasingly toxic Trump administration. Far from tamping down the controversy, the appointment of a special counsel has only fueled the craziness and will dominate the news cycle from here on out. A special counsel was appointed so they have to be guilty, right? The Dems/MSM/Deep State have hit upon a winning strategy - death by a thousand cuts- and that will continue unabated. No telling what else will be leaked or fabricated by the MSM. Unfortunately Trump doesn't have the discipline to keep his mouth shut and concentrate on business, instead he'll continue to exacerbate the problems with ill-considered remarks.

So much promise, now so much fail on the part of all involved.

There was never going to be a revolution. We had the two worst candidates ever Hillary just happened to be even worse than Trump. This is all about comedy at this point and it's fun watching both sides.

The Establishment has found what works and Trump only helped them out. Anyone who does not see the power of the deep state(or whatever you want to call it) and realize we are being played is pretty naive.

It all depends on Trump. If he ignores the Special Counsel and puts his head down and works to pass legislation, he can still have a successful Presidency. But if he continues to harp on the Russian thing, the paralysis that it has caused in Washington will continue and his agenda is dead in the water. In short, I agree with you...his agenda is DOA. He won't be able to keep his mouth shut.

And once it's clear that there won't be a tax cut or healthcare reform, the markets will crater.

I've identified the fatal error in your analysis. Bolded above.

You need to re-examine your techniques for gathering relevant and pertinent information.

a. don't watch TV
b. don't repeat the nonsense you hear on TV
c. don't quote TV sources
d. you missed step a. see above

Don't underestimate the potential outcome of the special counsel's investigation. This thing could go very very bad for the establishment and/or democrats depending on what he turns up. Obviously, it could go the other way as well.

Yes, this is why they are pushing through with Tax reform and the senate is reworking the health care bill.

Giving that Russia myth to a special council only releases congress to do other things

This is exactly what the media wants you to believe, don't fall for their crap.

That said, Trump just needs to ignore these idiots, stop being a idiot on twitter and push his agenda down the Dems throats. Make those roaches suffer.

Once the Russia "collusion" is proven a hoax used to facilitate a coup, Trump and Sessions can round up all of the coup conspirators and throw them in prison on sedition charges. Then, we can get back to repealing Obamacare, cutting taxes, and deporting the criminal invaders.

While Meyers points out that the reaction among Democrats and the news media has turned toward the possibility of impeachment, in the case of Republicans, suddenly none of them are willing to be interviewed on TV and defend Trump.

Pretty much this.

One can call it the left's assault or "deep state" (we can talk about how stupid "deep state" is another time), which is fine, but Trump's inability to BE a President is giving them more ammo than they can fire back at one time.

It wasn't the left that fired Comey (and handling it in the wrong way). It wasn't the left that potentially (read potentially) asked Comey to back off an investigation.

I'm elated that a special prosecutor has been appointed. Muller is a through and respected person. When he comes back with his report, its going to either quell alot of this bull sheet, or end a Trump presidency.

People can "MAGA" or spout elections have consequences...yup...they do. But so does everything you do during and afterwards.

Trump needs to understand that they want him to play along with this crap. He just needs to ignore them and push his agenda. If he doesn't mention the Russia BS again then he will get his agenda completed. And this means the Republicans need to back him as well, stop being piss ants.

Trumps answer to anything about the Russia myth should be.: No comment, it's out of my hands and you know what my thinking is, you should ask the special counsel. PUSH YOUR AGENDA!

Trump is a symptom of "the Trump Revolution", not the source. The source of the "Trump Revolution" are the blue collar workers in fly over country who voted for a non-politician because they believe that the political class is not acting against their best interest.

For the sake of argument, let's say that the lib's wet dream come ture: Mueller exposes that everyone in team Trump is a puppet of Putin and they all get impeached/thrown out (which won't happen).

How does the Trumpist react? Do they suddenly believe that political class actually is working in their favor or are they going to see this as a reaction political class/Deep State because Trump was a threat to their power?

"The Trump Revolution" will last even after Trump is gone. The only thing that will end the Trump Revolution is the death of the Deep State.

If i had to bet i would bet that Trump gets the last laugh...that the Republicans will do the logical thing and come together instead of forming another circular firing squad that guarantees a decade or more in the wilderness.

Ryan is uncharacteristically supportive. So is McConnell. Even Sen. Linsday Graham is ready to fight the intel war on new fronts that are advantageous to Trump.

I see more unity that I thought one week ago. And Trump isn't losing his base at all. So nope. OP is wrong.
