The book is an interesting take on our individual journeys in the Christian faith.

It's a great book for those of us reforming, especially.

Not a fan of Piper, MacArthur, or Chan. They seem very condemning and judgmental to me.
Sure. But no longer. We are regenerate, redeemed, and appear holy to God because of the blood of Jesus.diehard03 said:Quote:

This will always be the impression, as we are already condemned in our sin.

Paul's tone was totally different than what you hear from those three pastors imho.diehard03 said:Quote:

You'll have to explain that more. This sermon is calling out idolatry, placing God (and us) in the rightful place, calling for repentance and warning of upcoming judgement.
You might call Paul judgmental, it seems.

When I read Paul I do not feel condemnation like I do when I hear or read those three Calvinist preachers I mentioned.diehard03 said:Quote:

I'm confused on how you are coming to this assessment. This is the same Paul that had no issue confronting people, writing scathing admonitions to several churches and would certainly be considered judgmental by today's society's standards.
