Lets not mess around with long explanations, but get right to the reason that Big Fuss was an unusual Big Foot.

The Greys who had genetically engineered the Big Foot race to do certain tasks on primitive planets like Earth, did not want to interfere too much with the planet's natural selection process so had engineered Big Feet to only have about one female per five offspring....this kept the Big Foot population small and noninvasive.
Naturally, Big Fuss was popular among the other Foots.
She had long shiny hair with black roots that turned cobalt blue toward the tips, and a snout covered with short dark maroon fur that looked like lipstick to the sex starved Republican Foots.
The sex starved Democrat Foots thought it looked more like dried blood, but they were more than fine with that.
It was the Stone Age when she reached the age of consent.
Eventually, after much wowing (Foot wooing) and several noisy altercations (face alterings), Big Fuss settled on Thousand Pound Boar to be her special friend.
Now, Boar WAS rather boring, with little conversation beyond grunts of happiness or displeasure, but he possessed some good points that Fussie fully appreciated.
Big Fuss and Big Boar were happy as young Foots could be until one night they accidentally made too much noise and attracted the attention of humans.
The attractees were a tribe that really admired Fussies hair coloration and decided to scalp it.
This scalp business ended badly for the tribe but well for the Foots as the Greys decided to remove the Bigs to a new planet, Bigtopia.
