I don't know. I just thought it was interesting. But i had the same question while reading it. It made me think of my son who is Asperger's and his obsession with paleontology.

I can't think of anything that gets kids as excited about so many science Fields as dinosaurs.

Kids learning about dinosaurs get it all from astronomy and botany to zoology

Very true. We've even noticed it has impacted our son's understanding of language because of all the Latin used.

My 2-year-old son is on the right track: The first animal sound we taught him was "What does the dinosaur say?" "RAWAWRRR"
