I'm not Catholic (or particularly religious for that matter), but I thoroughly enjoyed this article and learning about Father Roy Snipes '67.

I'm Catholic and I also think this is a good story. My only quibble is that the image of Our Lady of Guadeloupe should not be displayed in a place of prominence behind the tabernacle with the Crucifix displayed to the side. They should be reversed in locations.

Article is nothing but political posturing dressed in an empathetic religious guise.

Catholic church will be fine without that shack church at the border. Two billion followers worldwide... they are fine.
