You've got to be one of the worst posters on Texags.

At least you're not having a conversation with yourself this time.

I'll bite.

You're wrong.

If humanity had that attitude, then we never would have progressed at all.

Curiosity begins at the unknown.

If we relied on faith, we would know relatively nothing about God's creation.

Perhaps faith begins at the unknowable, not the unknown.

The realm of "unknowable" continues to shrink.
People of integrity expect to be believed, when they're not, they let time prove them right.

Hebrews 11:1-3

It was by faith, the Lord made this world that was unknown before He spoke it into existence.

The unknown is infinite.

From New American Bible Hebrews 11:1-3:
Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen, because of it the ancients were well attested. By faith we understand that the universe was ordered by the Word of God, so that what is visible came into being through the invisible"

Through the use of our intellect and technology, what is "visible" increases.

I don't believe this passage relates what you are trying to assert.

There are also substantial footnotes to Hebrews 11: 1 regarding the Greek words "hypostasis" and "elenchos" and whether it connotes something more subjective.

Regardless, "faith" implies that there is no need to investigate further. By investigating further, we understand God's creation more fully.

If the children of Israel were sure the Red Sea would close in on them they would not have went through.

Peter didn't know if he could walk on water with Jesus standing right in front of him.

He showed courage.

I'm suprised no one mentioned anything about risks!

Faith, risk, belief, advancement and progress themselves dance an intricate "maneuver" for lack of a better term.

Tacking risks give way to rewards.

Squandering resources because of lack of direction and action and self-management leads to obsolescence and irrelevance. This is an easy way to be conquered by others and choking any chance to grow whatsoever. It's a great way to lose friends and a sphere of influence.

If the children of Israel had indeed not stepped foot onto the dry land of the banks of the red sea they would have met their utter demise.

Take risks!
