Is nominalism a heresy?

How is this specifically nominalistic? Because it doesn't agree with certain theologies? I'm confused as to why that label alone is the best in your mind.

K2, my bad, you're correct. Not heretical as in defined by a council, but perhaps heretical in the sense of so fundamentally contrary to Christian theology that to subscribe to it is to preclude an orthodox Christian epistemology?
