I've seen this term thrown around on here from time to time. Usually used to explain why there are far less frequent direct contacts with God in modern times. The 2 way line to reveal his will was more prevalent back in ancient society.

Do Christians here generally except this reasoning? If so, why? Discuss..

I disagree.The Bible has more to say prophetically about the period just prior to Jesus' return than any other time. Those in Jesus' time asked about a "sign" from God when the evidence was standing before them.

The most frequently prophecied event in scripture is the return of Israel as a nation of Jewish people. That has been fulfilled in virtually our day but even many biblical scholars say it means nothing in God's economy of things. Read the Bible for yourself and you decide.
