R&P related because:
1. It's the Christmas season, and we're still doing Christmas (12 days, people)
2. My nephew is being baptized into the Orthodox Church... cue Gus Portokalos:

3. Going to Waco to attend Holy Mass with the Saint Gregory Society for the feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord (Jan. 1).
4. I know it's God's country even though I live elsewhere.

We look forward to toasting to you and yours post-Mass on Jan. 1!

Yesterday, the Baptism was nice. I was quickly reminded that it also involved Confirmation and first Holy Communion... Such is the practice in the East, both Catholic and Orthodox. Beautiful ceremony filled with beautiful prayers. Like in the older Latin Rite missal, many of the prayers and responsories were done in triplicate... One time for each person of the Holy Trinity.

The reception was nice too... Found this frisbee at the Orthodox church:

Perhaps a healing of the great schism is closer than we think? ;-)

Hmmm. Waco and God's country do not compute.

Yeah, well, Dallas and Austin primarily. Waco is a day trip.

Either that frisbee is really small or the Florida water has given you giant hands!

ETA: K2, care to comment on this obvious ecumenical breakthrough.

It's only a small frisbee.

The Antiochan Orthodox... Pioneering reunification! It was found at the table where the Orthodox grandparents and PRIEST were sitting.

Just saying...

Rumble is the best offering from Balcones by far.

How many have you had? The rumble and the true blue are excellent

I have had the rumble, baby blue and brimstone. I like them all. Each has its own character. I first tried them just as balcones was starting up. One of their distillers used to do business with me at my old work before he left to go to Austin and work at a microbrew.

Just had the last supper with my family... We head out tomorrow morning.

Good to see you, SoulSlave. Enjoy the sixer.

I'd like barbacoa with cilantro and onions, handmade tortillas, and an ice cold glass of tea.

Adios muchacho! Mixer sixer is in the ice box. I will report on my scientific findings about the quality of said beverages on this thread as they are tested in my laboratory of taste!

Safe travels to you and your family.

IIRC you have a couple Seattle minions, a couple tejano minions... perhaps it is time to fill another seat on the silver bullet with a flo-rida minion!

Cracked open the first....

Went great with the sloppy Joe and fresh jalapeo sandwich for dinner. It was surprising creamy for an IPAZ

What would make taco Tuesday better you may ask...

Goes great, and helps keep the palate wet while making baby food.
