I'm amped for this. Rhea was so good on BCS and X Files was probably the first real drama show I ever watched growing up.

It wasn't in the past, and there was a lot of consternation about that. I'm not sure when it was added, but it hasnt been on it that long.

I'm not a sci-fi fan and never watched X-Files but I'll give this a shot since it's Gilligan and Seehorn.

If you have an IPhone or Ipad you can watch it there. You'll need an Apple TV device to watch it on your TV at home.

I have the Apple TV device and it's actually a decent device that will consolidate pretty much all your streaming platform shows into the TV app.

You probably already knew all of that, though.

I have a tv that runs on Google TV and you can download the Apple TV App there too. The only roadblock I've hit is I could not remember the password for my old AppleID associated with my email and it required me using an Apple devise to verify it was me trying to reset the password. I don't have a single Apple device in my home anymore so I had to create a new email account to create a new Apple ID account.

I don't know if it's better than Apple but I've been pleasantly surprised by the original programming on Hulu.

So glad you mentioned Trying. That show doesn't get any attention but I really like it. A show about a British couple trying to start a family. If you like subtle British humor like Notting Hill then you'll like Trying.

Trying is great. I hope it's done becauee they perfectly told the story that needed to be told.

HBO has had a good year. These are the best things I watched over the last two years:

Barry - Bill Hader's show about a hit man who gets into acting, simply no other dramedy series like it ever
Righteous Gemstones - Danny McBride assembled an amazing cast and then let them shine
Winning Time - about L.A. Lakers when Jerry Buss bought the team and drafted Magic Johnson
Hacks - IMO the best written comedy currently out there; Jean Smart is a revelation
Mare of Easttown - good whodunnit in an interesting setting
The Flight Attendant - first season was a pleasant surprise; 2nd season ran out of gas
The Staircase - good dramatization of the Michael Peterson case
Julia - about Julia Child, her personal life and efforts to start a cooking show; a little slow but interesting

Other shows that people like that I haven't either tried or gotten into:
Succession
Our Flag Means Death
Whatever the dragon/fantasy thing is; I think it's related to GoT

It's a fair point. HBO started out the year like a house on fire but hasn't had anything interesting to me in a few months. (Just not into Westworld or dragons--but no shade if you are).
