For anyone who has nostalgia for that N64 Goldeneye game - do yourselves a favor and do not try playing it again. I have fond, fond memories playing that game with my friends. I tried it again 3-4 years ago and it doesn't hold up, at all.

This. Curious why they think it doesn't hold up. It's the same game now as it was then, and it's awesome.
I don't think it holds up but I don't think any of those early first person 3D games hold up. Ocarina of Time was the greatest game ever when it came out, but today, I think Link to the Past on SNES is a better game. Over time, the SNES has become the better system while the N64 is showing its age. I haven't played N64 in probably 6-7 years though, so it will be interesting to see what I think when it comes out on the Switch.TXAG 05 said:Brian Earl Spilner said:

Villains is just about a toss-up. Everyone knows the Joker. Throw in the Penguin, the Riddler, Bane, Two-Face, Scarecrow, Raz Al-ghul(sp?) and that is one hell of a lineup. Counter that with baddies such as Blofeld, Auric Goldfinger, Odd Job, Jaws, and even Max Zorin, but I'll give Batman the edge simply on name recognition.jokershady said:
Great debate question….I think you'd have to break this thing down into categories….for example, which franchise is better regarding:
Best Villians
Best supporting characters
Best running story/plot
Best gadgets
Best music/theme
And that's just off the top of my head….when you start breaking it down it's not so clear an answer for either side
Batman the Animated Series would like a word....Quote:
Music/Theme - 007 wins hands down on theme.

As someone who has been listening to movie scores since the summer of '77, I can state emphatically that I have not once heard a theme from Batman the Animated Series (given that I've never seen any of that). 007 still wins hands down.BenTheGoodAg said:Batman the Animated Series would like a word....Quote:

woah there….not saying I disagree that bond is better…..cause with music it's not even a competition that bond is better….AgfromHOU said:
Best music/theme - Bond has a theme, Batman does not

Spider-Man has made more money than Batman with fewer movies. Not saying he's a bigger icon, but he belongs in the conversation.

I'd go
1. Batman
2. Spider-Man
3. Superman
As far as superhero popularity rankings. They're the only S tier heroes. Everything else is a tier below.
