Don't think this has been discussed. HBO is getting ready for a John Wick prequal, taking place in the early 70s on how The Continental and organization was created. Set to air June 2022 after John Wick 4 hits theatres.

Yeah, that's interesting. My friend is a writer on this and he specifically told me HBO (he's written only for Showtime before). I wonder if his contract is through Lionsgate. I'll find out and clarify.

Talked with my buddy, he confirmed it is HBO and Lionsgate. He's being paid directly by HBO on this project. Writing starts next week.

It's interesting outlets still reporting Starz (which is owned by Lionsgate). My buddy working on it is getting paid from HBO.
