The Tin Cup thread got me to thinking about Costner. I don't think there's been anyone in more sports movies than him. Can anyone beat him? Maybe De Niro in mob movies?

Costner:
Bull Durham
Field of Dreams
American Flyers
Tin Cup
For the Love of the Game
Draft Day
McFarland, USA
Others?

De Niro:
Godfather
Once Upon a Time in America
Casino
A Bronx Tale
The Untouchables
Goodfellas
Heat (does this count as mob movie?)
Analyze This (I guess this counts)
The Irishman
There are probably several more I'm leaving out here.

And of course you have Wayne and Eastwood in westerns.

If I had to guess, I'd pick Christopher Lee in horror movies.

I think it's gotta be after 1960 or 1970, otherwise it's just a bunch of westerns.

Samuel L Jackson has to be on the list for some genre, I think he's behind Stan Lee for appearing in the most movies ever. Might be ahead of him now.

I didn't count or anything, but Christopher Lee holds the record for most movies by quite a bit and I know he's done a crap load of horror.

I would have guessed Michael Caine had been in the most movies.
