Let's get it started.

I'll lead off with a Swedish metalcore band that has been dominating my current rotation. All of these were released as singles last year but will be part of their new album to be released this year. I've been listening to them since 2013 and you can definitely tell they have gotten tighter in their song writing.

Also of note, apparently Jon Schaffer, guitarist and leader of Iced Earth was arrested for being part of the Capitol building.

Now they've gone too far.

actually I just realized this is the same song I posted back in Nov.. I guess they just made a video now.

This song and one other, both charity singles, are their only new music since 2005, and were not together (or active anyway) for much of that time.

THIS, wow this album deserves some serious attention. I'm admittedly a huge ATW fan, but seriously this latest release is superb in many ways. Production, songwriting, riffa*ge, etc. I cannot get enough of this album, highly recommend if you're into the genre (use that loosely) at all.

The re-record of Love Story dropped this morning.

I heard a few days ago that Ozzy is teaming up w/ Andrew Watt again to make another album. I thought the Ordinary Man album they put out last year was really good.

I just listened to ozzy speaks yesterday, he said he's already mostly done with it.. writing anyway.

I'm really looking forward to Joel Hoekstra's 13 album coming out soon. I heard him interviewed on Eddie Trunk's show and had no idea this existed. Went to his website and ordered his first album and will buy this new one when it comes out. I love anything with Russell Allen (Symphony X) on vox!

Jason Bieler's solo album is outstanding.

Enjoying the bass guitar line thru the chorus, and of course Mario's drumming. After the intro buildup, I was not expecting that rhythm used in the first verse. Almost like he studied past tendencies, and switched up the bass drum line

dEMOTIONAL stuff is pretty good, have not heard of them before but reminding me of old In Flames.

For me, the PTH album Palimpsest last year was the best of the year and still playing that a bunch

The new Evergrey showed up on my doorstep yesterday. Can't wait to sit down and absorb it. They never disappoint.
