I think it really depends on what you want out of a Bond film. There's something to be said about the charm of Bond kitsch, and I would actually entertain the argument that Skyfall and Casino Royale are superior movies, but not better Bond movies.

I regret to say I've only seen Skyfall one time! Casino Royale I've seen more, but I need to fix the fact that I only saw Skyfall in the theaters and that's it. Amazing movie.

I just watched Casino Royale a few weeks ago for first time in a long time. Incredible movie.

I recall nothing about QoS other than a remote building in South America? Remember it not being good.

Have seen Spectre and Skyfall once a piece. Need to watch those again.

May have to actually do a full rewatch of all Bond movies. Never actually seen all of them and have watched none of the pre-Craig movies probably since I was college or a kid.

Rewatching Skyfall now. The pacing, cinematography and acting is just fantastic.

Bardem takes it over the top in the second half.

My favorite Bonds are Craig and Connery.

Dr No and Goldfinger are my favorite Connery movies.

Casino and Skyfall are my favorite Craig movies.

Bronson is my third favorite bond and Goldeneye is definitely my favorite of his. Those are my top 5

Skyfall is THE best Bond film in my opinion. Casino Royale is still top 5 for me, but Skyfall is just that good. It was really good when I saw it in the theaters but gets even better after rewatches. The themes it touches on and the performances, especially Bardem are top notch. Adele's theme song isn't quite as good as You Know My Name, but it's definitely in the top 7.

But Deakins is what sets it apart. Just the Assassin Chase scene from the airport, thru the glass building at night culminating with the fight with the Bond, is worth the price of admission and should be required viewing for aspiring cinematographers.

Last week I watched Casino Royale during my lunch breaks and this week I watched QoS during lunch for the first time since it was in theaters. To my surprise, it wasn't as bad as I remembered. It is a direct sequel to Casino Royale and works best when viewed soon afterward. All in all, it's obviously much weaker than Casino Royale or Skyfall, but still better than Spectre.

Used "everyone needs a hobby" as a backhanded comment this week and smiled.

Maybe I will do this because I remember literally nothing about it.

Watched Casino Royale, Q of S, and Skyfall in last few days.

Casino is by far tops for me. Quantum at bottom. Skyfall was very good, but got a little too personal with the M stuff and scenes in London. I can see why some like that, but not a fan. Want to have more fun. Also, seemed the whole storyline and movie was a ripoff of Dark Night and Heath Ledger's Joker. Did that annoy anyone else?

Can I just say that Quantum probably had the best bond girl pair between Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton, and unfortunately they're lost among the forgettable story. Highly wasted potential.

Amazon Prime currently has a bunch of 007 movies. I re-watched both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace (Skyfall and Spectre don't seem to be on Prime). CR remains one of the best 007 movies. QoS remains mostly forgettable, but I'll concede that it was not quite as bad as I recalled it to be. It does have some great action sequences.

Living Daylights is a top 5 theme song.
Best theme song of the Timothy Dalton movies.

My vote:

Connery - Goldfinger
Moore - Nobody Does it Better
Dalton - Living Daylights
Brosnan - Goldeneye
Craig - You Know My Name

Nothing of any real importance to add, but I do wish they would have stuck with baccarat for the card game. The argument was probably that the audience doesn't know what baccarat is, but then they presented texas hold'em as if the audience didn't know what it is, so pretty much a draw in my book.

And IF you are going to do texas hold'em, don't make the key hands that you highlight in the movie such asinine hands.

Hard to catch a "tell" when every hand we see is full houses, straights, 4 of a kinds and flushes. And the comical last hand almost ruins the whole movie for me.

theres a scene in QoS where bond is drinking on the plane and mathis comes and talks to him, idk why but that scene sums up craigs bond in a single scene and sticks out to me
you may all go to hell and i will go to Texas

Watched Golden Eye on Netflix tonight. Brosnan was a terrible Bond compared to DC. Thought the special effects and the way it was filmed was just terrible.

I was surprised. I just didn't remember it being so bad.

Now that I am thinking about it I am going to have to rewatch all of the 007 movies.

I don't remember anything about Quantum of Solace other than it's in the running for most ludicrous movie title of all time. And we are talking about a series that also used the name Octo***** in a movie title and got away with it.

I suggest you duck, as this goes against the prevailing opinion of TexAgs much like those who decry the existence of the prequels or deny the existence of a fourth Indiana Jones movie.

Goldeneye is better liked among our generation because of the N64 game. The movie itself is fine, definitely in the top half of Bond movies, but it gets bumped into the top 5 a lot of times when people talk about their favorite bond movies, and I think that's mostly on the strength of the nostalgia we get from thinking about it and remembering countless hours with friends.

TBH it's the best movie tie in game of all time and it's not even close.

I can't even think of a close second. But, I did love Home Alone 2 on Sega Genesis.

It has to be Skyfall for me. Javier Bardem nailed the right mix of creepy, evil, crazy and just made the charachter.

Everyone was anxious after bad finish to the Brosnan era.
Very well-executed semi re-boot
A top 10 all-time Bond film
Stunning setting and cinematography

Bloodier/more brutal style was fresh
Only small eye-roll were the poker scenes
Oh - and the scene in Venice at the end
Boobs
So all in all...the best Craig Bond Movie

Both are the best of Craig's era. I think Casino edges Skyfall by a nose. It has relentless energy abut it.

And Eva Green is an absolute dime. My goodness.
