Watched this last night. Fun flick. They could have done more with it in terms of developing the storylines, but overall a solid guilty pleasure watch. Goggins and Gibson were both great.

I rented it on DirecTV PPV.
Watched it twice. I think it was good. It's a good popcorn flick. The humor is deep and drawn out/ridiculous. The movie doesn't take itself seriously, which is a good thing. Goggins is good. I love his scene with the baseball bat, how he moves the light to inspect it cracks me up.

Could have been better but it was entertaining enough. Goggins had some funny lines and I loved his saved contact name in his phone for the kid.
Just finished this, and we both really enjoyed it. I can definitely see it entering normal rotation into the alternative Christmas movies: die hard, Bad Santa, Krampus, Real Exports. Basically every time in December I get to chose the movie over my fianc.
Wife and I watched it last night. Decent, entertaining Christmas flick. I agree with the poster above about the baseball bat scene. That was funny.
I thought Mel and Goggins both played good roles.

Missed this thread but watched it a few weeks ago. I think I enjoyed it more than I should have 
It's definitely fun, but tonally it's a bit all over the board. As a whole they did a good job with the premise and it's an entertaining take on the concept.

Yeah, I watched it last night. It was ok, but could have been better if they had gone further. It was as if they thought the premise was enough. The pace was pretty slow. I wish they had spent more of the time they had on "Elf" like exposition which would have made the dark moment even more jarring.Geriatric Punk said:

I wasn't a fan. I was expecting a dark comedy and it was just dark. It didn't really give Walton Goggins a chance to shine
