Looking back1989 wasn't a great year for movies. But we had plenty of other things to do!
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Batman, When Harry Met Sally, Licence to Kill, Field of Dreams, The Little Mermaid, Christmas Vacation, Uncle Buck, Back to the Future Part II, Dead Poets Society, Lethal Weapon 2, The Abyss, The War of the Roses, Ghostbusters II ... that's a pretty strong year. Maybe not 1982 or 1984 strong, but certainly better than 1985 or 2020.

I loved Star Wars. Waited in line at the theater in the Galleria in Houston to see it. We went as a family and my folks, who were not movie goers, enjoyed it. Still have my original Star Wars novelization I took to Boy Scout Camp with me that summer. We get on increasingly shaky ground after the original trilogy, however.

Looking back, the movies weren't that great that year. I would go with T2. Crazy thing was the music was so good that year.
