"Angel" by Sarah McLachlan. In addition to the animal abuse commercial video, I'll always associate it with Bonfire.

Diamond Rio - One More Day

Song really got popular right around the time my grandfather (Dad's father) passed. Still can't listen to it today, many years later, without tearing up.

I listened to this with one of my nieces after my Father's funeral. We both cried. (For you guitar fans, the solos wail.) It's still tough to listen to, but I usually do when someone has passed away.

"I still remember
The day I went home
The taxi dropped me on the street
And I stood there all alone

I saw a lady on the porch
That I knew from years before
She said, "Sorry about your father"
From behind the closed screen door

"Sorry about your father
He don't live here, no more
Sorry about your father
I saw them close the hearse door
He don't live here no more"

Unopened letters
Unanswered calls
We were two separate men
Behind our stone walls

A chilled wind was blowin'
A cold October rain
And as I stood before the house
It was silently saying

'Sorry about your father
He don't live here, no more
Sorry about your father
I saw them close the hearse door
He don't live here no more'

Sorry about your father
I remember that day
Sorry about your father
I saw them take him away, yes, I did

I remember that day

Sorry about your father

I remember that day

Oh, when I went home, fell down on my knees
Raised up my right hand and I cried 'Please, please, please'
If I had just a little more time, yeah"

Amazing Grace, especially when played on bagpipes. They played the bagpipe version of this at my Father's funeral and it tears me up every time I hear it

also,
TAPs because I have heard it played at too many of my friends memorials.

The main them from Jurassic Park. Seriously. Growing up with ADHD, before it was a common thing, I had very few things that could grab my attention and focus me. School sucked, sports were okay, and women...well, you know.

That music from Jurassic Park touched my soul and when I need to relax or focus, I just play it and it works.
Probably the most awesome "username checks out" moment to date

"Cinderella' by Steven Curtis Chapman.

My daughter is 14, and the first time I heard the song I it hit me like a ton of bricks thinking about her and I dancing at her wedding in the future. It still gets me emotional every time since.

That's my job by Conway Twitty is another one thinking about my dad who was a huge Conway fan.

This is going to sound silly, but there's a song called "Elijah" by Rich Mullins that is about him not being overly sad to die. When it was his time, it was going to be his time and he wasn't going to be sad to go. Well he passed away in a horrific car accident in 1997.

I've heard people tell me in dreams that this song will be playing when I die. Every time it comes up on Pandora or on a playlist I have to shut it off because I don't want to die yet. This is especially true in my car. I freak out and have to shut off the stereo. Guess I missed the point of the song.
