Went on a run with my pup and happened upon a huge movie production. When I got close this woman from the set came over asking to pet my dog. I asked her what the movie was and she said she couldn't tell me. About a 5 second google search revealed that it was likely Good Joe Bell. I continued my run and then backtracked and when I returned Mark Wahlberg was standing outside getting ready for a shoot.

This may not seem like much to you guys, but I am still super jazzed to have experienced this. I'm admittedly star struck and obsessed with Hollywood. Wish I would have followed my dream and worked in the business in some capacity. So this was a bucket list experience for me...especially to see it happening in my little neighborhood.

Movie: Good Joe Bell
Location: Salt Lake City
Actors: Mark Wahlberg, Connie Britton, Gary Senise, Reid Miller

I think he highlighted Larry McMurty.... and I also think he's being sarcastic since the guy has a pretty impressive resume.... and he's a Texan

Never heard of him, but his name is pretty close to Larry McMurtry.

Damn it I missed this as the very first joke. Of course.

Seriously, though, super cool to see, and glad you got to experience this. It's rare to roll up on a movie set and actually see the stars out and about.

Nice to see Gary Sinise back on the big screen. Other than playing the narrator for Cap's exhibit in Winter Soldier, I can't recall any film he's done lately.

To run into a movie set not in LA is rare....to do that and see a super famous movie star is super super rare. And then getting to actually see the action... just really cool for me.

Hopefully more films will be shot here in SLC/Utah.

That's awesome. Would love to have a chance to say hey to Wahlberg and Sinise.

Also had no idea that Gary Sinise was narrating Cap's exhibit in Winter Soldier. What a great choice.

Clearly I wasn't talking about walberg...otherwise I would have asked "has this guy ever made a bad movie?"

Very cool. What does he do? If you don't mind me asking.

Kinda crazy how much manpower and equipment goes into a small shoot.

He's a production accountant. Some of the bigger things he's worked on include Italian Job, Baby Driver and Too Fast, Too Furious (got to buy the cars).

He's just independent and goes show to show with various people he knows in the industry. He was a CPA back in the day with a few actors as clients (thing the dad from That 70's Show) and got sick of tax season.
