i'm just here for the weaponizing of horses and dogs
honestly, i find the Continental and the mystique around it one of the most intriguing aspects of the series and that ramp sup more in the 2nd one.cbr said:
So question - i only made it through half of the first movie. I like cool cars and gratuitous violence, but did the movies go anywhere else? All i got was 'guy really good at killing has gf die, then stooges steal his car and kill his dog, so he kills hundreds of people in cool nightclubs'
Im ok with that, but if thats all we get plot wise i may not rush to finish the series.
Pls let me know.

Huh?
There are some services that cost multiple coins (like body disposal), but generally it seems like most things are worth a single coin. Also notice that contracts are set in "dollars", not coins.Brian Earl Spilner said:
I'm not understanding though. What part of the hotels is supernatural?
It's just a hotel with a rule about no killing.
I can see the complaints with the bulletproof suits, etc. But that's just the kind of heightened reality this universe exists in.
Oh, and the director has explained the coins. They have no fixed monetary value, they're more like passes that allow entry in the hotel, or for other services. It's just a way to show you're part of the club.

Treat it like a comic book or a Bond movie. It's set in the real world, but only for a given value of real.
Actually, yes. The director, the stuntman from the Matrix, sat down with Reeves before they began shooting 3 and listed everything he was good at. Horses were one of them.third coast.. said:
