The documentary that came out this year about Mr. Rogers was amazing.
I could see people being interested in this.

100% agree. While I respect the man and his mission, his show was the show I had to suffer through while waiting for Zoom. Plus, his show lacked the trippy, psychedelic charm of HR Pufnstuf and The Banana Splits.Trident 88 said:

Heard all the raves about the documentary so the wife and I tried to watch it. Found it to be every bit as bland and boring as his TV show. Not trying to poop on him or his fans, I just think he came along a little late for me.
Having said that, I've learned over the years to never discount a Tom Hanks movie. Even movies I think I'll dislike end up being better than expected if he's in them.

Wow, I looked up the reference. I knew Tim Madigan from when we lived at the same apartments. He had some very interesting stories from covering the Saragosa tornado.

Yeah I still remember how they were working on it when I was still in LA. They even got to go chat with Mr. Roger's wife at some point if I recall.
They've since been writing on Transparent and One Mississippi (Noah plays Tig's brother as well) but obviously working with Tom Hanks is gonna be the biggest thing they've done so far.

That's super cool. Their script is so great. What an awesome experience.
In a new interview, Hanks has said they'll show Mr. Rogers' sweaters in his closet and on his person, but they've chosen not to show him putting the sweaters on.

Yes. I could not believe how amazing that was when I saw it.
I have no hate for Mr. Rogers but I didn't watch the show much. I was a Captain Kangaroo kid, h r pufinstuf, Banana Splits, a little Mr. Peppermint, and Slam Bang Theater with Icky Twerp.
