I am honest curious how a show like this is okay??

I'm probably the least offended person on this planet. Honestly the show's premise itself doesnt bother me.

what bothers me is that its somehow okay to have a show where black people make fun of white people. Lord knows if it were the other way around it would never ever be a show.

pretty much a bunch of BS.

the only person being made fun of in that clip is the guy grilling by them showing how self-cosnumed he is.

other than that, it seems like a show following a very familiar formula that has been in comedies for decades.

take a person or group of people from one area and put them into an setting that is foreign or unfamiliar to them.

ever seen the jeffersons?

However, this is a sitcom on CBS, so expect at least six seasons.

The irony is, anytime a network does a show like this these days (Blackish, Fresh off The Boat, Outsourced)...they are filled with racial stereotypes. Cringeworthy.

Really makes me appreciate The Cosby Show, Family Matters, and Fresh Prince from when I grew up. Those sitcoms dealt with racial challenges, but it wasn't what the core of the shows were about. They had good characters and relatable situations that made me laugh, that also gave me a different perspective. But it wasn't preachy or over-done.

Most of these shows today are being made with a forced purpose, and the characters/plot is then sprinkled around it. The quality just isn't good. And that's the case for most shows too, not just the 'diverse' ones.
