They wouldn't let me go on the Viper once I was 16 because I was too tall and the restraint couldn't lock over my knees.

I wondered why Astroworld was trending on twitter. Didn't realize it was an album.

I'm sure it will bring back some childhood memories of safely getting out of Astroworld before it got too late.

Kind of crazy to see the hype surrounding this album. Up there with all the other releases thus far. I'll give it a listen.

Travis loves his city & Im glad its something more than just B.

Texas Cyclone. None of this smooth metal coaster crap. Real men ride the wood.

Wait. That came out wrong.

Texas Cyclone. The only ride that gave you bruises and legitimately had an element of 'This might go off the rails...' every time you got on.

Back on topic, great album upon the first listen.

Wait, this thread isn't about the old amusement park? I'm so confused.

Also I liked the Mayan Mindbender. Thought it was cool since it was the first indoor roller coaster I ever rode.

The thread is supposed to be about a rap album that sounds exactly like every other rap album in the last ten years

What made looping starship great was the fear factor that your restraints might fail.

Ahh, well I don't listen to rap so that explains it.

That last seat, you could literally feel it lift up. There was just a bit of space in the wheel bogeys.

I was thinking that to be the case but for the life of me, I can't recall what it was called in the late 1970s when I was frequently riding that one.

Took the family there with my father in law a few years before it shut down. My son was juuuuussssst tall enough to ride the Cyclone and my F-I-L and I got him in line. He was totally in to it until the line crossed under the trusses and the noise and shaking unnerved him pretty good. We stayed on him about finishing it out. He nearly barfed and almost came out of his safety belt. I actually had to hold him down some.

Looking back now, no father of the year points. I need to ask him about it now and see what he remembers. He was not happy at all after the ride.

Lol, this actually happened to me. It was one Holiday In the Park and as the park was closing it was near empty. We literally sat in the front over and over and over again probably at least 15-20 times. That 30-45 mins or whatever that was , is probably one of my fondest childhood memories.
