Season 1 was fairly subtle, but season 2 certainly ramped up the 80s cliches. Hopefully season 3 doesn't go overboard.Quote:
Well I have to say one of the things I loved about Stranger Things was that it didn't make fun of the '80s.
Responding to myself, apparently one hidden gem is 47 seconds in. "Hunt for Red October" is the book being displayed at WaldenBooks. Russian connection?rynning said:
That said, are there any "hidden gems" I missed other than the actors?

Although I might accuse them of a bit of plagiarism......
Red Oaks season 2 primer was a fake ad for Red Oaks Country Club in full blown 80s cheesiness. the show itself while fully immersed in 80s never used it as schtick really, they were real people and not too many 80s cliche's.

The mall is bogus. I didn't see an arcade. How can you have a mall from the 80s and not have an arcade??

Got any plans on 6th November? You do now: Netflix is celebrating Stranger Things Day this Tuesday and wants everyone to join in.
