Just checked in on ol Buddy and EMCC... looks like they're having as good a season as ever.


10-1 and currently ranked #1. Their only loss was a pretty bad one (61-38) to #5 Northwest Mississippi CC in week 7. However, they ended up beating them last week in the Mississippi Championship, 67-66 in 2OT. Which in turn has them headed to the National Championship game.

The NJCAA Championship game is December 3rd against Arizona Western. The same team that made it into the championship over them last year.


Sounds like it would have been a pretty phenomenal season to follow, although I am looking forward to the new direction especially since Ms. Wagner is gone.


And in case you're wondering about the new team they are following in season 3, Independence (KS) CC is currently, 8-2 and ranked #7

Update on the murder charges for Isaiah Wright and Camion Patrick. Charges were actually just dismissed for Patrick, but Wright has to face a grand jury with the other two suspects and may still be indicted. Sounds like neither of them were actually at the scene of the crime, but inconsistencies in Wright's story make police think he knew what was going down, and was therefore involved.
