It is TMZ, so we'll see if it's true.

TMZ has been on top of things for a long time. Safe bet it's accurate, unfortunately.

Sad news. While I'm not a fan of the band but they definitely had their place in the musical landscape. I cant believe its been 17 years since Hybrid Theory came out. Also, I think there has been a lot of divisiveness between the band and its fans over the most recent record.

That sucks. Listened to LP growing up and enjoyed their stuff. IHe was close with Chris Cornell. Sad to see these talented people (or anyone) going out this way.

Yeah I read he was close to Chris. Incidentally today is Chris Cornell's birthday. Same method of suicide as well.

Wow, was a HUGE LP fan growing up. Went to several concerts. They even had a decent song come out recently. RIP.

Not much of a fan but this is sad news for sure, especially considering the Cornell connections.

I didn't know that they had a new album out. I thought they had broken up a long time ago.

Who knows? Maybe he was upset about the OJ parole. There's no way to ever tell.

I heard their new single on the radio the other day. Very different sound didn't recognize it has LP. Very poppy

Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, and Meteora were awesome. Could never do the later stuff. Sad, but hearing his background, this was always one I thought would happen.

that was filmed in Houston but used the audio from the Dallas show....this was when they toured with Limp Bizkit and Metallica after St. Anger came out.

Was at that show in the pit my senior year of high school....awesome ****ing show all around.

Wasn't it this show in Houston that Fred Durst brought out Aaron Lewis (Staind) and he perform "Outside"? I remember that show.

No. This was like 2002ish and Durst walked around the arena just getting pelted with beers.

Great show from LP and the album was solid. My biggest issue was the album didn't have all the songs they did.

Really hits home for me. I was 17 when Hybrid Theory came out and Linkin Park blew up. I really got into them, especially the Reanimation album. I'm glad I got to see them live once. How tragic for his family. 41 is young.

They better wrap Jonathan Davis and Chino Moreno in bubble wrap...

yup 2003.

Ya he made it damn near all the way up to the nose bleeds in Reliant....surprised me how he made it up there that fast.

And yes they did a lot more songs live than what got put on the album for live in Texas...not sure why they had space to put more

41 years old and leaving behind SIX children. Awful. And on what would have been Chris Cornell's birthday. F drugs and F depression.
