Now this is how you do a trailer. Tease, tease, tease, and only highlight the hook, not the entire damn plot. Granted, I could do without Imagine Dragons, which seems incredibly out of place, but that's a small gripe.

Back in the early days of cable tv, I used to watch Death on the Nile over and over and over again. I loved that movie. To me, Peter Ustinov IS Hercule Poirot. Takes a little getting used to seeing Branaugh in the role.

Still, I am most definitely on board with this. Get it? On board?

I loved the book, but I'm not sure how it will take in this day and age. So many mysteries have stolen Agatha Christie's plots, I'm afraid it's going to seem unoriginal.

I love Agatha Christie! I read most of her books when I was in middle school (yes I know I am weird). I am excited one of her books is getting this treatment, but I fear many will find the plot lacking in this day and age when everything has been done a dozen times.

Anyhow I hope it is awesome!

I 100% agree with the original poster's statement about previews that give what seems to be every plot point. Of Christie's works, TEN LITTLE INDIANS has probably had the most imitators. This looks great!

I've seen the 60's (?) version with Albert Finney as Poirot. He was really good, but Branaugh is maybe one actor that could do the character justice. Knowing the story, assuming the same plot and results, the movie won't be as good with the mystery already known, but for newcomers to the story, it should be good.

Wife saw the previews today and was talking about the cast and this can't miss as a movie. She was pissed after the preview that the movie doesn't come out until November

I "saw" this yesterday. Saw in quotes because I fell asleep approximately 15 minutes in and woke up just in time for the big reveal. My Fitbit registered over an hour of consecutive sleep. I attribute this to me being a perpetually tired mother of a 3 year old and the fact the movie is mostly quiet music and soft dialogue.

For what it's worth, my dad quite enjoyed it.

It's a solid movie - unlike most murder mysteries I felt this was actually greater than the sum of its parts.

Oh, and Kenneth Brannagh is phenomenal as the detective.

Not a must see but worth checking out at some point.

Went on Friday, enjoyed it but it wasn't amazing. Really enjoyed the opening few scenes though.

The cast is really good and there's some nice character moments, and Branagh is absolutely fantastic in the lead role, but a few of the characters seem kinda undeveloped and it dragged a bit in places.

I really enjoyed it but I grew up reading Agatha Christie. They nailed Poirot as a character.
