Btw, please, name one conclusion that I've jumped to. All I said was that this movie already felt like an afterthought. And I've repeatedly said that the final product could be great, and that I want to be great.

well, sorry for all the sore britches my comment caused. what i was really getting at is that for me, a new star wars movie just puts in perspective how much more i love star wars than all other franchises combined. I went 14 months before actually seeing the Avengers, mostly because I had kids right around the movie's release, but if I haven't seen The Force Awakens within 12 hours of it opening, it better be because I'm dead. Nothing against Avengers, I really liked it, although Guardians of the Galaxy is my #1 Marvel followed by the WInter Soldier.

Ultron will be Empire-esque. Darker than the original. Characters pay a cost. Sets up the storyline for the rest of the series.

The woodchopping scene from Ultron sets up Civil War. Other major developments (which have been strongly hinted at on this thread) set up other films.

Probably, but it could be close. F&F series is a lot more international than the MCU.
