I'm watching some old Nitros and PPVs on the Network...quickly realizing why I don't get into Raw and Smackdown the same way I used to be into Nitro. I pretty much only watch the PPVs now, and that's only because I have the network to watch other stuff.

Bobby Heenan is one of the funniest people I've ever heard on TV. He could be calling a crappy match and just make you laugh your pants off. Currently watching Great American Bash 1996 and Dusty is coming close to making me fall out of the chair. Dudes knew how to keep an audience and make the matches fun. Schiovane is a great straight man to play off of. Just saw Benoit and Sullivan take their no DQ match to the men's room, and Dusty had a lot of fun with it. Then they cut to Gene with Ric Flair and a horseman promo - again, hilarious.

In contrast, current WWE is so wooden. No personality, no real off the cuff remarks. It's stale and scripted. Commentators being overproduced by Vince in their ear telling them what to say. 40 writers scripting every moment.

I miss the fun.

I hate to beat a dead horse but it's incredible how much better Smackdown is than RAW. I thought tonight's go home show was great.

The Becky and Asuka feud is solid and the three falls match between Andrade and Mysterio was excellent stuff with a pretty awesome ending. Looking forward to the Rumble as always.

First time I've watched smack down in years.

The 2 ouuta 3 falls match was incredible
Joe vs Ali was good
Miz vs cesaro felt flat
MIZ VS cesaro after match was great.
What the hell is up with Daniel Bryan's captain planet goes ******* routine??? Have no problems with him as a heel, but the captain planet shtick is just weird.
Has creative decided that raw needs a win so they stacked the women's division? Unless I missed something the smack down roster is 4 headliners and a bunch of cannon fodder. Raw seems much deeper.

I think a lot of people are expecting Bray Wyatt to show up, and I hope they're right.

I always love seeing an old school guy or two just for fun. Last year was the Hurricane. How about Disco Inferno?
