They normally have a few extra bricks in each set right?twilly said:
When I finished the Millennium Falcon, I had 2 1x8 bricks left over at the end. Still to this day I have no clue where they go.

Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light and Magic has hired YouTuber Shamook.
— DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) July 26, 2021
This comes after Shamook created a viral video with nearly 2 million views that improves the VFX used to de-age Luke Skywalker in ‘The Mandalorian’ using deepfake technology.

Lucasfilm added: “Over the past several years ILM has been investing in both machine learning and A.I. as a means to produce compelling visual effects work and it’s been terrific to see momentum building in this space as the technology advances.” https://t.co/TOMrdzcSPU

That part makes sense. I'm just surprised they didn't have better tech to use when that CGI'ed Luke. Deep Fake has been out for a couple of years. And, frankly, their work on Luke in that was pretty pitiful.PatAg said:
I'm not really seeing how this is an embarassing thing. This guy has specializes in a new technique, and they identified it and hired him.
They could have just been pissy he put his video out and snubbed him
Is @rosariodawson’s post confirmation @MenaMassoud is Ezra and Mikkelsen is Thrawn in your opinion?

Rumors of Disney+ casting for live-action Ezra Bridger and live-action Thrawn for a show that would presumably pick up where Rebels ended when those two were sent through hyperspace to the Unknown Regions.

Ezra (Mena Massoud)
Thrawn (John Slattery)
Deep fake is taking someone else's work and building on top of it. That guy didn't create the whole scene from scratch, he used 99% of what Disney created and built a different Luke face on top of it. He's undeniably talented, but he couldn't have created that whole scene from scratch.YouBet said:
This seems pretty embarrassing for ILM. Why didn't they use deep fake in the first place? They are the premier SFX outfit on the planet, so I thought.
Also, very cool and very scary as hell!

Hired him to shut him up though.
Bet his deep fake days are 100% over, except if authorized by ILM.
