They were almost right. They should have warned him that if he sold to Disney they would ruin the franchise, or come really ****ing close to ruining it.

Not gonna lie, I really want that prequel one.
It has 500 pages dedicated to Anakin's use of the word "Yippeee!"

So I'm about halfway through season 3 of Rebels and absolutely loving Thrawn. He's just written and performed perfectly, matching up with the Thrawn trilogy. Absolutely cold as ice and thinking 6 moves ahead of whomever else is on the field.

Makes me want to go back and read those books. I remember his final line, but I don't remember the final plot point on how the good guys got one over on him.

This doesn't make any sense. He is the good guy

Listened to Ye on JRE. Turns out he is a huge prequel fan and feels very strongly that they're better than the ST.

Says he's seen ROTS ten times during covid.

Kanye may be starting to convince me for his 2024 campaign.

Anakin as an actor (both of them)

Sequel Pros:
revitalized the saga
awesome production/filming/effects
some pretty good acting

Sequel cons:
Grumpy Old Luke

Not exactly doomcock breaking news here, but I just learned that Rachel Green wore the Princess Leia Jabba slave costume one episode:

Bit late to this but re: Jar Jar I've got a pretty great story that I may have told here before but it's worth repeating.

A friend of mine is a senior animator at ILM, he's been there for years and has worked on pretty much everything you can think of. He was there during the prequels as well, and before they really knew a lot about Jar Jar they got the model to test out.

Testing a character rig is pretty standard procedure for big projects, the animation department will get the character and do some movement and dialogue tests to make sure everything works then they'll let the technical directors know what modifications they might need. As there was no dialogue yet and the actor playing Jar Jar was an unknown, they did another thing that's common practice and grabbed some other movie lines to animate to.

So somewhere in the Lucasfilm archives is a clip of Jar Jar with his first thrust overhead screaming "I am Spartacus!" and the entire animation team was super psyched to animate this badass character. Then they got the actual voiceover, and we know the rest of the story.

Naomi Scott for Obi-Wan? Yes please.

Still waiting/hoping on a Liam Neeson announcement, but I'm also of the opinion that if Qui Gon is on the show, they might keep it under wraps like Baby Yoda.

I had to share this because of our frequent angry arguments over ranking the films. My older brother is somewhat of a recluse these days with COVID and his general personality. He bailed on me at the last minute for seeing The Rise of Skywalker in theaters because he was slightly ill and I finally got him to watch all 3 of the sequels in order this past week. To infuriate you, here is his list of the films ranked. Before you ask, he has not had any significant blows to the head and is not on any mood-altering medications.

1. Return of the Jedi
2. Rogue One
3. The Empire Strikes Back
4. The Rise of Skywalker
5. A New Hope
6. The Last Jedi
7. Revenge of the Sith
8. Solo
9. The Force Awakens

Here, there is a pretty significant drop-off.

10. The Phantom Menace
11. Attack of the Clones

This dude has Rogue One....the best movie ever made at #2?????

I could handle that depending on what his number one choice was, but ROTJ as #1?????

If I was stranded on a desert island, but was somehow given the choice to be stranded with either The Last Jedi or one of the prequels, I'm sorry, but it's The Last Jedi all day every day. I'm no TLJ apologist, but at least it *feels* like a real movie. I will never, ever understand the ROTS love. It's such a terrible movie on every level. Even the Obi-Wan/Anakin fight is bad and nothing more than CGI gobbledygook.

Yeah, as much as I hate the story, TLJ is a beautifully shot movie. It's so much easier to watch than any of the prequels .
