Comedians have a social responsibility, as Amy Schumer, Sarah Silverman, Lena
Dunham etc. have stated. They can help us understand society and ourselves, through humor. They also affect change. Will & Grace, for example, helped quite a bit with marriage equality, as Vice President Biden said.

Hopefully Jerry gets this.

No, they dont. Some use their voice to push their agendas. That's fine. Others just do their job. But, they have no responsibility to push a social agenda. Whose to say what the correct one is anyway?
