It was done with serato, real vinyl, and Ableton. Then tons of trial and error

you should post it on the serato forums as well..

it was posted there when it came out a few weeks ago.....it's a bunch of newbies on there asking how to mix and stuff mostly now, so i don't visit as often nowadays.....

I wish i could do it faster, but the trial and error process combined with my own obsessive tendency to analayze everything to the last second make it real slow. I'm 2 minutes into the next one and I've been at it for a week....

don't rush perfection man, take your time, but it was great

here's a tip though...don't play that at a club, that stuff drives me nuts when you're into a song at a club, and 30 seconds later it switches. guess you gotta be in the mood for a mixtape, but from personal experience and the feedback from my wife and her friends when we were out last, they hate it at the club.

I am a traditional dj at my residencies and have been for 12 years. With the rise of Girl Talk I have had more creative freedom in my club than ever before.

Most nights I do 2 verse 2 Chorus out. I do feel that 1 verse 1 chorus is nessesary for some recurrents due to the surprise factor wearing off quickly. I have several live mixes on my soundcloud, but as you can tell, this one is far and away peoples favorite.

I love it because it is all mine, from my experiences through the years combined with song I have always liked.

I will say this, almost every person I have given this cd to in the club has come back the next week requesting parts off of it.

I certainly am not gonna tell ya how to do your job, it was more a joke really. Good insight

I would imagine we grew up around the same time because pretty much all of those songs brings me back to a very specific place/time in my life.
