A good way to beat the cost of the dinner buffet is to find out what time it changes prices. The one at Paris changed at 5:00ish. Get there for the lunch buffet at 4:45, have a drink and salad, then wait for the good stuff at 5.

The buffet at Mandalay Bay was awesome. It was like $25 bucks, breakfast, but it had EVERYTHING. They brought you Champagne when you sat down. It was nice.

man, i was severely disappointed in the buffets. all the food tasted the same and it is incredibly expensive.

i did enjoy the breakfast buffet at the Luxor, however.

frankly, i'd ignore them all together and spend the same amount of money eating at the fun places (ESPN zone, IN and Out Burger, etc)

The cheapest, and also the best, buffet I found in vegas was at The Orleans. It is not on the strip so you need to take a cab or a shuttle van from one of its sister hotels (Barbary Coast is one and another has Coast in the name jsut cant remember it all). It had the best tasting food and also the biggest selection. This buffet is huge. Take extra $ for food. Everyone told me how cheap food is and that's a load of crap. I spent way more than I planned on food (easily twice as much as thought/told to take). The Orleans buffet is highly recommended great food and it only cost like 7 bucks.

Another hint is to wait till like 12 or 1pm to eat and eat a huge lunch. I mean stuff yourself retarded. Then you wont really be hungry at dinner, and by the time you get hungry your too drunk to notice. Also this method works for those who look to same room for drinks at night.

My friends and I ate at the Flamingo, Rio, and Paris while we were in Vegas for New Year's. Flamingo and Rio were dinner, and Paris was a champagne brunch. My favorite was champagne brunch at Paris. They had everything from breakfast and eggs benedict to prime rib, roast lamb, and king crab legs. It was nice. Rio was good because there was such a huge selection. It was decent, but not spectacular...definitely huge, though. I think the only way food gets cheap is when you play a lot at the casino. The buffet at the Flamingo was $19 because it was New Year's Eve, but if it weren't for the fact that they had snow crab legs and prime rib on the buffet, I don't think it would have been worth it.

I had the dinner buffet at Flamingo last June and they did prime rib and snow crab then too. I think that might be kind of standard for dinner there...

Funny reading all those old posts, prices from 05, etc. I'm not a buffet guy, but frankly I can't imagine stepping foot in Aladdin, Rio, circus circus, Excalibur these days. I feel like those were trashy even back in 05 right?

Id place Mirage right above "most everything else"

I remember eating at the Ceasars buffet for a Sunday Brunch in the mid 90's. It was about $15, which I thought was high for a Vegas buffet back then. They had a huge table piled high with boiled shrimp, that you couldn't even see over. Looked like an ant hill with all the people standing around picking shrimp off.

I'd skip the buffet in Vegas unless its just something you want to cross of your bucket list. There are lots of great restaurants where you can order a pretty good meal for about the same price or less than the current going rate of buffets. If your plan is to load up on the buffet to save money throughout the day, I think you would be better off finding deals off strip in places like Ellis Island.

Agreed. The food scene in Vegas has improved so much in the last decade that I don't see why anyone would bother with a buffet when there are so many better options.

Yep...those who don't understand the draw of a buffet just don't know how to live life correctly.

Just let loose a little. Eating at a buffet once in a while is not going to kill you.

Disappointed.
