Subsidizing is always a bad idea, you might as well pay the entire thing and get credit for it (whatever it is worth).

Women know how to play the percentage game for their own benefit.

If you pay 95% of her meal and she pays 5%, she will, in her mind think, rationalize that she paid for her meal (and blank out the part where you paid for 95% of it) and then she will come to internet boards to complain about men and how they make her pay for her own meals (when she paid only 5% of her own meal and none of yours).

Now a woman might still find a reason to complain about this and say that your conversation was boring, you did not regale her enough, you were not funny... so the best thing is to not even bother to please her and to never simp. Do what you think you should do and move on. That is what a real man does. No waiting for her approval.

If my wife and I went out and took one of her friends along on a social outing and we opened a tab, we'd just pay it. No big deal. Sort of like if we had friends over to the house and provided the drinks.

Many women today try to dazzle men with their job titles and edu degrees. No man about those. The only ones that do want to sit at home and mooch off of you. Choose wisely.
