And then you see a cat (or in this case two cats) in a sunbeam? I know they have short life spans, but coming back as a housecat might be worth it if only to experience a sunbeam...

Which is why they are awesome. We have both dogs and cats, and the cats are far more self-sufficient and less needy.

I started working from home because of the pandemic about six weeks after we adopted my calico. I've never gone back to the office, so she has always known me to be here all day. She is beyond social. She's clingy. Cats are as social to you as you are to them.

And I've never known a cat as "handle-able" as she is. She's a good scarf AND pillow. If only she didn't live to damage the things that matter to me...
