My precious second born is in the hospital. He has had multiple seizures and is currently in a 24 hour EEG. I'm a nervous wreck. If you know me feel free to text or call. If you have stars you can DM. I'm not sleeping much and happy to have a distraction. Adorable puppy pics are accepted as T&P acknowledgment.

Had those with our first kid when she was 1-2. Not fun.
Hes almost 2. Like a little over a month away from being 2. I love my boys. My heart hurts with all this.
Ours had febrile seizures. The first instance was multiple and the hospital gave us a bunch of crap tests and a day later ended up being coxsackie had they bothered to check her throat which triggered the febrile seizures. That was a nerve racking weekend. I can still remember the screams from our daughter during the seizures and while they were doing the bs tests.
Two more episodes of seizures occurred during the next few years and they got progressively less involved.

My understanding is this isn't terribly unusual but it must be frightening.

My daughter started having seizures a few hours after she was born. They got her started on medicine right away and she was off of it a few years later. You wouldn't know it now.
Seizures are very treatable these days and kids who get it young often grow out of them once their brain finds the right circuit.

At his age as long as the medical staff can manage them and prevent any sort of permanent damage they are usually transient or the kiddo grows out of them.... also as the Coxsackie poster mentioned it is not uncommon for them to be triggered by a virus/high fever or other environmental cause and then once the cause is removed the kiddo recovers just fine.
Keep your spirits up and be brave for your kiddo. Positive thoughts go a long way. If I had a star I would post a puppy picture for you but since I don't that is the best I can do.

I will have to say. That was a good distraction by sending dog pics . I hope if I am ever in that situation that I remember

Can i throw a cat in there too since they are besties? I had the same with my oldest when she was about that age. So terrifying. Im sorry you are going through this.
