I hear it's pretty damn good, unlike most of their other offshoots.

I liked it. You can definitely taste the Balcones flavor. And at 9% ABV, I approve.

They were around $12 per 6-pack at the HEB I go to.

Anyone tried the Balcones Texas Bock Whiskey

This whisky was made with the exact brewers mash bill recipe of Shiner Bock Beer along with the proprietary lager yeast strain. This mash bill included over 51% malted barley and aged in first-fill American oak barrels for at least two years making this a straight malt whisky. Bottled at 100 proof. Limited availability in Texas and Oklahoma.

Found some :

Damn good
Has a "cleaner" profile than regular Shiner Bock
Highly recommend

lol, that's some cheap barrel aged beer.
Craft breweries would charge $4-$6 a bottle.

I have the Bock bourbon & not a fan. Lots of caramel flavor which overpowers everything else.

The beer I had a few years ago & is amazing. Dig the partnership on the beer side. 903 Brewery is also making some potent barrel-aged stuff.

I bought the last 6 pack at HEB in College Station and I dig it! It is more of a Belgian style bock and not something you are going to chug a 6 pack of but it is unique and tasty!

I've had every concoction Shiner has produced since I turned 21...and this one is definitely up there (bought another 6 pack of it today actually).

Definitely in my top 5
