Should be fun, hope the rust isn't too bad! Any plans to backdate the front end to chrome bumpers?
vehicle was sheltered all this time, no rust really to speak of.. Even the soft top is in decent condition, but the plastic back window is definitely yellowed from the TX heat in the garage over the years.
Given it is an anniversary edition, I had always planned on keeping it as close to original spec as possible, although that may need to change with the niece.
One neat thing will be that the vehicle ALWAYS suffered vapor lock in the hot Texas weather, even after we installed an electric fuel pump.
It will run like a charm in the cooler PNW weather.
My brother lives up in the flood plain in Snohomish County, so my niece will not have to deal with the hills like we have in Seattle proper. She is going to love that car.
