Kolaches are obviously solid, but their chocolate cream pies are to die for.
This is not true. I ran a Shipley's, the quality of ingredients is subpar...RealTalk said:

I don't go through West very often but I will definitely try their cream pie the next time I drive through there.
I get why people like to bag on Czech Stop. It is inconvenient, has dirty bathrooms, crowded and usually full of clueless people. The standing in line suuuuucks.80s Guy said:

NOTHING!!!!!! Go into the town of West and stop at the Village Bakery, the oldest bakery in Texas. They are much better than Czech slop and cheaper.Mr. Rhythm said:

Some of us are old enough to remember when the big thrill on the drive down was to stop in West and go to the Village Bakery for actual kolaches. Then it got so popular that someone started Czech Stop on the interstate, started selling sauces rolls, and the whole idea that a sausage roll is a kolache was spread across Texas.aeon-ag said:NOTHING!!!!!!
