How long do you want to ignore this user?
Like many others here, had to switch to working from home. Maybe by Decemeber time frame will have to start going to the office again. I see some pros and also some cons.

Pros:
-No commute. Would rather spend the extra time working.
-Eating healthy. No chick-fila cravings
-Not tired most of the time.

Cons:
-No face to face with coworkers or socializing
-Worried about manager seeing me as out of sight out of mind.
-If my job can be done from home, it can be done from Chennai.

I worked from home for 4 days back in March before being laid off. And honestly, those were the longest 4 days of my life. It would take A LOT of money to get me to work from home again. But to each their own

It took me about one full month to begin enjoying to work from home. Now i really like it. Ultimately, i prefer going into the office.

I think it's just my job description. I was an outside sales rep for my previous company (outside sales rep for current company). I "worked from home" for my previous company as well, but I was on the road traveling 95% of the time. Then when the Rona first hit in March, I was shut down completely. No meetings. No sales calls. No nothing. That was a huge change for me, and it sucked. And it was only for four days of that before they chopped me

Pretty much this. Massive hit to abusing the expense account for outings & shenans. No travel - even to Midland has been a change of pace

It sucked until about 3 weeks ago. Now it is just me and the dog during the day.

No offense, but life is just better sans pants.

And you can't be offended, because I said no offense.

It sucked until the kids went back to school.
Now it is great, and I never want to work in an office again.

I mostly agree with your list and have grown to dislike WFH less, but let's be real, Chickfila cravings transcend all work arrangements.

Sucks because our house is not conducive to two people working from home at the same time.

Should be signing a new lease on an office space soon and will be out of here. Looking forward to a nice 15x20 space with a view, door, couch, tv, liquor cabinet, lock, and no one else nearby to annoy me.

With school starting last week CFA breakfast is a cluster **** now. Someone in the drive thru blocked the exit so the line couldn't move. Stay at home stay safe.

This right here - yesterday was brutal because the little guy does school Wed/Thurs mornings and day care was shut down so the baby was here all day. The two of them put together for hours during the day is total hell.

I've been working from home 28 years.

After reading this thread, I recall the times when the little ones would come into my office unannounced.

Enjoy those times my friends, they go by you so fast.

I've worked from home for 8 of the last 9 years over 3 different jobs.

The first job was terrible because it was 100% work from home but all of the projects I was managing were on site. It did not work at all.

The next job was remote but I would spend 1-2 weeks onsite at a client every 6-8 weeks followed by a one day trip for a board read out. That was perfect.

I got promoted into a completely different department after covid....the job is doable remotely but getting up to speed has been a challenge when you are limited to webex and jabber

Since '87, so after 33 years you get the hang of it. smallish desk with overhead cabinetry, tucked out of the way, overlooking the backyard pool! hope that helps. Pro: 9 steps to the coffee
