The rottweiler at the door said NEIN no admittance without an appointment NO NEVER NEIN NEIN NEIN. When I tried to explain what the doctor's staff had told me, a lady behind the desk came around with a "do not question our safe environment procedures" line of BS.
I asked them to check with the doctor's staff. When she had trouble understanding me, I pulled down my mask an inch and OH HOLY HELL you'd thought I'd pulled my pants down and crapped in the floor.
PUT YOUR MASK ON the lady yelled at me. No, I replied, I'll go to a better medical provider, like CVS for my shot.
An hour later, nurse calls me and says she heard the office staff going on about the incident - she looked up who was due for this particular vaccine and figured it was me. Apologized for the office Nazis and said I could come around the back of the clinic and ring their doorbell and bypass the staff.
