Assuming that everyone, consciously or unconsciously, has a degree of racism.

Are you more, "Lit" now? Are you more sensitive to racism? Less sensitive?

Or has the movement created as sort of "Blowback" where you actually are more resentful?

Let me put it this way: now if I come within a proximity of a....POC....then in the back of my mind I'm like, "man I hope I don't have to deal with a race card today". Never would have occurred to me before all this crap came about.

I'd like to think I treat people fairly. Good to me and I'll certainly be courteous, respectful to you.

However, I'm sick of being labeled a racist if I choose to stay out of a conversation or if I have a different opinion on an issue.

If I don't wear a BLM t-shirt, I'm a racist. If I support peaceful protest but condemn violence, destruction, and theft -- I'm a racist. If I choose to stand for our anthem, I'm racist.

So long as people don't act on their racism to discriminate, i could care less about their personal mental problems.

Racism as a major problem won't be "solved" until several more generations die out, but we can continue to fight discrimination every day.

I feel like people beating me over the head with their beliefs while shouting down my own is by far the most frustrating part. I work in medicine and made the mistake of telling some friends that I thought it was a terrible idea to have these massive protests with the current health issues going on. You'd have thought I'd murdered and eaten their first born children.

I was discussing the failure of people to be successful in our society. I said that growing up in a single-parent household is tremendously difficult. For one wage to support a home, give the support to the children's education needed, and be a parent that keeps your kid out of trouble is an uphill battle by yourself. At no point did I mention race, it could apply to any race. I was told that my opinion was racist because they said I was talking about African Americans.

The more you try to legislate fairness, the more unfair a society becomes. I know a lot of highly intelligent POC In industry, as well as from TAMU, and not a single one is a leftist. I don't know if I choose friends well or there's just a really loud vocal minority.

I told one of my best black friends this the other day... "the most pathetic creature on earth is the Marxist, militant, white leftist followed by the apologetic white leftist"

That whole thing was horrific. I really think the cop that did that saw George Floyd and snapped because there's some hidden connection that we didn't know about and he wanted him dead. But to the other point, I've been kind to everybody all my life and it infuriates me to ever even jokingly be called a racist. Have y'all noticed that even before all this, millennials called people racist all day for the dumbest reasons? There's probably a small number of true racists in the world. I haven't really changed the way I do things because it wasn't an issue before all this. But I will always think before I speak from now on. Just to make sure its not going to be something that would offend another. I have a lot of southern sayings and I learned a lot of them from my black friends.

I doubt anyone here is more or less racist. When you define racism correctly, I know very few racists.

I don't care what any emotional leftist ****bucket says, there are very few racists in our society in 2020.

What I have become is less tolerant of anyone who uses the word daily. I can't tell you the last time I watched the news, at any time of the day.

I've pretty much concluded that all people suck. It's just a lot easier to lump everyone into one enormous mass of toxic goo than trying find that elusive nugget of goodness that might accidentally be farted into the atmosphere every now and then. So, I hate everyone equally, with no consideration to the color of one's skin or the color of one's neck. Human beings are a pretty miserable species, when you get right down to it. They deserve nothing more than that.
